Castel Sant'Angelo and Vittorio Emanuele building offer beautiful views of Rome. Hop on hop off tourist buses are good tours and very informative. Turbopass / City Pass Rome is a good choice and kept the promise that you can bypass the queues and get directly into the sights.
Our trip in Italy was much easier with the Turbo Pass in Rome. We (2 adults) were in Rome for the first time and took some time in advance. Such as Google Earth, there we are the footpaths to the hotel, the nearest train station and which attraction we can reach, theoretically expired. We have calculated a lot (entrance fees) and have come alone because of the unknown, but certainly very long waits at the Vatican on the worth of the City Passes. And the purchase was 100%. Passing the endless line and avoiding hours of waiting, that alone is worth the pass. Of course you also save with it. The free driving on the Metro is also part of it and is of great use to prove even more routes and alone to see this underground system was worth it. We had great enthusiasm with the hop-on-hop-off bus tour. When you first board the bus, the ticket is valued and then valid for the rest of the day. Now you can always get on and off. This is how we experienced a very special day. You absolutely have to sit up (open roof), to experience the traffic of Rome from this position, is unique. The bus routes are laid out, which usually holds directly to sights or special places. Our conclusion after 4 days, the Rom-City-Pass is definitely worth the money.
It is highly recommended to get in advance tickets for the "big" attractions such as Forum Romanum, Colosseum, Vatican Museums. The ticket for public transport, especially metro, is also very useful. Everything worked smoothly with the Rome City Pass. In the small booklet was the following valuable hint: If one leaves the Sistine Chapel by visiting the Vatican Museums through the group exit, one arrives without queuing in the St. Peter's Basilica. You may just have to accept that you missed the museums on the tour to the Sistine Kappele, missed. Or you start the tour again.

It was a good decision for the Turbopass Rome City. Very often past the serpent at the Colosseum (all had to queue at the security checkpoint), at Castel Sant'Angelo and past a very long queue for Vatican Museum. Only for the forum romanum we had to hire ourselves like everyone else. We also used the metro and the Hopp and Off bus. Highly recommended is the cafe on the top of the Castel Sant'Angelo with great views of St. Peter's and the city and of course the dome on top of Peter's Cathedral. Dome costs extra, up to half with elevator, the rest of 350 steps on foot. Not for people with reduced walking ability or people with claustrophobia (the higher you get, the tighter it gets).
We had a brilliant week in Rome, and visited places we wouldn't have thought about, as well as all the famous landmarks. Absolutely sensational!
Rome is definitely worth a visit. With the turbo pass you have done everything right. Especially the reservation for the Vatican Museums is worth gold. Without the turbo pass we would not have started with the insanely long queues. Everything we looked at was very impressive.
Rome is definitely worth the trip! And with the Rome City Pass you have the opportunity to use the public transport unlimited and thus to get to all the sights of the city without any problems. There you can use the pass then partially the preferred entry without a long wait and is faster at the destination. The benefits at other attractions are just great. This makes the stay in Rome an unforgettable experience without stress, hecticness and a long wait.
The Rom Pass was a great support for us to explore Rome. The discount for teens was the decisive factor for us to decide for this pass. With him we even reached the Mediterranean and ran barefoot on the beach in October. Avoiding the queues saved a lot of time, especially in the Vatican. We also found the notes in the booklet very useful. Only the Galeria Borghese we could not visit. Before a telephone registration is required, which we did not know and only read out afterwards. We discovered a great baker panella near our accommodation. Highly recommended, delicious pastries and coffee. On the next city tour, we will definitely decide again for a passport.
With the Turbo Pass you are well prepared. Especially the reservation for the Vatican Museums is worth gold. The queue is insanely long. The Castel Sant'Angelo is impressive, too. This was my third Turbo Pass to Hamburg and London and I will definitely book it again in the future.

Great thing these turbo passes! All public transport included and that easily. Even the preferred tickets saved us long waiting times. Unfortunately not in the Colosseum, because every first weekend of the month is free of charge for everyone. It is advisable to choose other times to visit. The site is still worth seeing. As it already means: Rome was not built from a day, so it is with the visit. So to see everything, you just have to come back.
