Rome is worth the trip with the City Pass twice. No, many benefits are just great.
We have extensively used the Rome City Pass. The use of public transport, the quick access to the sights (Coliseum, Vatican Museums etc) without long haul, as well as the Hop on Hop off bus ride were great.
With the pass you have it much easier, because you no longer have to worry about tickets. It's not always easy to find these ticket counters, especially if you are the first time as a mother and child in Rome. The pickup on St. Peter's Square worked great, the communication went well and they were very nice. The next time I would send the passport to the hotel, but our booking was too short. The city tour with the Greenline bus line went well, even the one and get off. You can use them all day, but just for this one day-so get up early at times and plan for this day if possible, not a long museum day. We drove the day only bus, always only briefly stopped, max. 1 h, and on we went. The remaining days we tried to get along with the normal bus line, that is not always so easy, especially if the hotel is a bit out of the way. My tip- near Termini book a hotel. What worked out well after a short time, was the ride on the Metro, which come in any case and also on time, the bus, especially after 21 o'clock that often does not work so well. One more tip from me, put on a travel document bag, because you need the cards more often and always keep an eye on the eyes, the Germans also called.

The turbo pass was most definitely worth the money. The lines alone were hours long in Rome and with the turbo pass you could pass everybody and walk right in. You do have to wait in the security line, but that was no more than 5 minutes for every museum we went into. It made our whole trip so much better because we didn't get stuck in those terrible lines!
