We spent four days in Rome and have already looked at the prices for attractions before our trip, which together made more than 100 € without again local transport. Then I found on the Internet also Turbopass. To say honestly, we were very satisfied with the pass, no snakes, we just passed the queue in the Colosseum, otherwise we should wait at least 1 hour. We also simply walked past the Vatican Museums. In the evening we went by hop-on-hop-off bus without paying what was already included in the pass. I would recommend to anyone to go to Rome.
We booked our passes online 12 hours before departure and had them ready for pickup in Rome. Pickup without problems, no queuing neither in the Vatican / Engelsburg / Colosseum nor somewhere. Of course you have to consider yourself whether the money is worth it. For us yes, because we did not want to be 3 - 4 hours per sight at 40 degrees. So it was perfect. We have seen almost everything in 3 days, except the underground tour. Again and again for other cities!
We stayed for 3 days in Rome and had the Rome City Pass. Just great to go past the queues and go directly into. Metro card has also worked wonderfully, you do not have to worry about where to buy what you need, but can go straight. We recommend!!!!

My girlfriend and I visited Rome from 26.07 - 29.07 and were both thrilled! Despite the main travel time it was not too crowded (apart from the Vatican and the Coliseum). The city itself is very clean for the strong tourism. The architecture and sights are amazing! A week before Rome I visited Milan, Pisa & Florence - comparatively to Rome were all 3 retrospect rather unspectacular. There is a lot to see and it will not be boring either. A small thing, which was very positive for me, that you can find a drinking fountain at almost every corner. Especially in high heat this is a blessing! The Rome City Pass is extremely helpful! When I think of how long we would have stood for the Vatican Museums or the Coliseum, we would not have had a privileged entrance. It is worth it! In general Rome is only recommendable. Whether with friends, family or friends.
I believe it was a very good decision to buy this pass, it helped us in every place we visited to skip the big lines.
The turbopass is simply recommended. Everything went smoothly. We were able to pass all the long queues.

For Rome with its many tourists the Rome City Pass is highly recommended. Long queues could be easily avoided as there were separate entrances for the Rome City Pass at the most popular sights.
Summary: Turbopass and "passing the queue" entries are great and save time, you should not let anything else tell you and before the purchase exactly consider whether one can really take advantage of the high price of the passport. We were in the summer 2017 in Rome for 6 days and ordered the turbopass as the only planning in advance. The entries with the turbopass worked smoothly and reliably. The included metro is also extremely convenient, with it and a little walking you get to all important stations with little time. In fact, you can pass the "snake" pass at the big attractions and save a lot of time. Unfortunately, Rome has a big problem with street vendors and around the Colosseum and on the way to the Vatican there are many tourist guides who try to make their tours rather obtrusive. You always have to be aware that you can really get anywhere with the turbopass, no matter what the street vendors tell you. Just ignore it and go on! Rome is relatively cheap compared to many other places to eat, as long as you keep it simple. Already in the side streets beside the great sights, especially around the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps, you can get a simple meal mostly for under 15 € pp with drink. My tip: If you travel with teenagers under 18 and get a free ticket for the Colosseum and Forum Romanum, always go first to the Roman Forum to the side entrance. There is less going, you get very little waiting time and the free ticket is also valid for the group entrance at the Colosseum. The group exit from the Sistine Chapel to St Peter's also works if you are just going with a group, so you can save yourself the queue for St. Peter's. The great disadvantage of this Rome Pass is the high price. You should really consider well whether you can visit many of the included attractions and would not want to go with a different passport and a bit more planning expenses for eg Vatican reservation and public transport (in other passes sometimes not included) for less Money can have the same experience. For us, we had to plan very quickly, the pass is perfect, since one can rely on that everything is regulated. In the end, however, we walked more through Rome than to use attractions, as the city is just so very nice to watch.
A really great facility! No waiting times. At the eternally long queue to the Vatican we could simply pass and did not have to wait two minutes at the entrance. The tips in the included guide are worth the gold! Public transport to Ostia is included. And with six days stay are four entrance fees (which one can choose oneself) inclusive. Through the turbopass we had a really relaxing sightseeing holiday!
Especially with children the Rome City Pass with its skip-the-line tickets is unbeatable. In the great sights of the Collosseum, the Roman Forum and the Vatican Museums, we have spared several hours of waiting time in the middle of the afternoon. Great package, worth every penny!
