We were little uneasy, but all went smoothly. Worth to study well in advance.
We (three people around 70 years old) experienced a week in Rome with temperatures around 35 degrees. The Turbo Pass helped us a lot, as there was no way we could have waited hours for entry to the various sights. But with the pass, "Skip The line" was our motto. -Be careful with the Vatican Museums: once inside, there is nowhere to shorten the path, because the stewards rigorously send visitors back on the mapped path. And it's long (the travel guide says it's 7 kilometers, it seemed longer to me). -It is similar at the Altare della Patria: Admission is free but once you have climbed the first staircase, you have to climb to the second platform (great view, worth it.) The descent runs inside with what feels like 1000 steps. -The hop on hop off bus was very helpful. It goes through areas where the subway doesn't run, the upper deck had a sunroof so it was cool and not very windy which was very relaxing after a walk in the sun. -It could be that the pass grants a discount when buying opera tickets, but since the opera (at least the good seats) sells out quickly, you should order the tickets online beforehand from home. We bought ours in January and had a very nice and interesting performance by Madama Butterfly. -Germans usually think of iced coffee as a drink made from cold coffee, vanilla ice cream and whipped cream. In Italy, iced coffee is an espresso with ice cubes. What came close to our imagination was iced coffee in a bar on Via della Conciliazione, with a view of the Vatican and Castel Sant'Angelo. Highly recommended after a day at the Vatican. -Finally, a restaurant tip: Restaurant Strega at the end of Via Viminale in the square next to the Ministry of the Interior has very good food, friendly staff, shaded tables and reasonable prices. What I liked most was that the restaurant is a bit away from the road and the cars. Many restaurants in this area have tables between parking lots.
Thanks very much. We stayed in Rome for 5 days. Everything worked great, exactly as described. It doesn't matter whether it's the Colosseum, Vatican, Castel Sant'Angelo, everything without waiting, straight to the entrance. Likewise public transport, hop-on-hop-off buses and some of the museums. We were very satisfied.
I am very satisfied with the Rome City Pass. Everything worked perfectly. Whether airport shuttle, tickets for public. Transport and hop on/hop off buses, entrance tickets for vatik. Museums + Colosseum with priority entry without waiting, tickets for all other attractions, luggage storage on the day of departure. The Turbopass was practically the "all-round carefree package". Highly recommended for Rome.
You save a lot of money and time compared to purchasing individual tickets. We booked everything including airport transfer. In addition to the sights, there were also useful tickets for the bus transfer from the airport (booked separately), for the bus and metro and for luggage storage at the main station. Absolutely to suggest.

The turbo pass was well worth it we had a great time and used the maps to look at so many places. It’s always a bit of a worry when you pay for some of these things but the pass was great, we used a lot and I would recommend to anyone for all of its benifits. We will do it again on a trip to Athens next year
Great way to travel around the city
With a map, almost 100% covered, perfect. Whether bus or train, museum, sight, etc., all in one card! It's that easy!

Expensive, no doubt, but in Rome I would say essential: people without stand for hours in the heat to get in. In front of the Vatican Museums the line was endless, several visitors stayed in the queue. So without a turbo pass we definitely wouldn't have gotten in that day. In the Colosseum we bought an audio/video guide for €6 per person. That was sufficient and very well explained. You could walk around comfortably and not rushed without a group. In the double-decker bus you could relax a bit, although you would rather have heard more stories than listening to scary music between stories (unnecessary and annoying). We did several other things in the center with the turbo pass, was good. The audio in Pantheon is also highly recommended. I would definitely recommend the Turbo Pass - without it you wouldn't be able to see the sights on the days.
After 2 hours of trying to get admission tickets and tickets myself, I resorted to the Turbopass offer - good decision. When the tickets weren't there for 1 week before departure, a short email cleared things up: "Main travel time, it's difficult, BUT: it works". Then it was like that. Interesting were the many "small" discounts and tickets in addition to the main attractions. All in all, I saved myself time and stress. Would we do it again!

The Turbopass encourages you to visit as many museums as possible. Our experience is very positive, everything went smoothly thanks to the good descriptions, so we had a great time in the Vatican Museums as well as in the Colosseum!
There were three of us in Rome and we are very enthusiastic about the City Pass! Flight transfer, entry to the Colosseum and the Vatican worked wonderfully, we were able to walk past all the queues without any problems. The tips and descriptions provided (e.g. how to get additional tickets) are great and that's exactly what we found on site. Really good! The turbo pass was really great! Thanks to the "skip the line" feature, we were able to visit all the sights immediately and never had to queue. We saved a lot of time and could enjoy the city more. The local transport ticket, the hop on hop off bus and the bag drop were also super helpful. I would buy the Turbopass again at any time.
We especially appreciated the Rome City Pass witch includes everything you need for your trip to Rome. It is useful to buy tickets for the guided tours of the Vatican and the Colosseum in advance.
