We ordered the turbo pass on Sunday afternoon and received it immediately by email. It started on Monday too. We wanted to see as much as possible in 3 days and not be tied to booking times anywhere. That worked very well. No matter where we went, they knew the turbo pass and we got in. In terms of costs, it is hardly worth it for 3 days. If you have 5 days it will be cheaper overall. But it was very convenient and you didn't have to worry about anything. And we have also done things for which we would otherwise not have been willing to pay so much money (e.g. the Ferris wheel costs €14 per adult)
Perfect way to travel in and around the city of Munich!
With the Turbopass you can have a lot of fun in Munich. The three of us went to many museums and attractions and didn't regret it
The Bavaria film studios are a bit out of the way, but the tour is informative and well done. BMW Welt and the museum are worth seeing - but I missed an audio guide at the museum. It was there in the residence, where there was little going on due to or thanks to Corona.
We mainly bought the Munich Card because we used public transport. Discounts on admission are a nice addition. Unfortunately, we had to find out that the discount advertised in Schuhbeck's spice shop is no longer redeemed due to the current bankruptcy. But then Mr. Schubeck would have to disappear from the list of providers of discounts for the Munich Card.
Thanks to the City Pass I could enjoy tours and attractions that i probably would have missed. I had no issues using it where advertised, even though the first day the code returned an error in some museum (seems like a known issue since I was allowed free entry despite the error) and in some restaurants the staff was unaware of the free perks for cardholders (again sorted out after a few minutes showing the leaflet). Unfortunately, at the time of my visit, many guided tours were only available in german.
In the end I was satisfied and I can only recommend it!
We will do it again. There is so much to see.
Since we also know such passports from other cities in Germany and Europe, we were happy to buy it. Unfortunately, Bayern and Munich are a bit behind in handling the pass. For example, you need to have printed tickets or € 0 tickets only to be purchased at the counter. Especially in times of Corona, it is more than unpleasant and contradicts the purpose of these passes. In London, for example, the year before last, just show a plastic ticket and everything worked, no paper, nothing. Super. But by and large this pass is worth it, we will buy it again next time.
I looked for a cheap ticket for city traffic and came across the Turbopass, which is cheaper than 2 day tickets plus offers discounts! Everything was great!
I recommend planning your trip out a little better than we did, but even with that mistake it was surely worth the money!
With the pass, it was great not to worry about the tickets for public transport every day. Unfortunately, the pass was not really used because it didn't matter anywhere where we were. But it is very individual what you want to visit. For example, it is not necessary for the verse churches, the English garden, the Olympiaberg and the BMW Welt. Still highly recommended, if only because of the means of transport. I would do it again. The Viktualienmarkt is definitely worth a detour!
Contains a lot, you do things or visit things you might not otherwise have seen, even if the bottom line may cost almost as much, but of course it depends on what you use from the pass! We did a lot with 2 children. Would do it again as it is just not a problem ....!
Munich has lots to see and prices are quite high, so it doesn't take much to cover the cost of the City Pass. Even just visiting the main art galleries resulted in a saving for us, and the transport element was extremely convenient even if it didn't make quite as much sense economically. A technical criticism - a number of places were unable to read the QR code on my phone, so I had to resort to the printout I'd brought with me. A sturdy plastic card as used in other cities would be easier.
This pass helped us to explore most of the popular museums and attractions from Munchen, while saving us some good money!It was difficult for some of the museums' and tourist attractions staff to work with the Turbopass app, but in the end all was good. All in all, it was very useful for us and I would buy it again.
The turbo pass can be bought online and sent to you via e-mail - it has to be printed and carried along - everything went smoothly - even the mobile phone photo shows the code with the device - we were not checked in the tram - unfortunately, that's hop on hop off bus only 1 day a 24 h valid
Above all, I bought the pass because there is no 2-day ticket for public transport. The benefits for the museums were nice, but I hardly needed.
