We bought a Munich card because it covers travel from city airport into Munich, it also covers Trams and Buses plus many Museum's and art galleries. We had ours for two days and I am sure we got more out of it than we paid. Great idea and very useful, would recommend it to anyone visiting Munich.
I took the city pass and found it so convenient to move around the city . Best option to travel in and around Munich.

The pass is very much worth it and you can save a lot of money if you buy the Munich plus 6 zones pass. There is lots to do in Munich and lots of day trips from Munich and where you can save on part of the fare.
The Munich Card gave us the opportunity for versatile mobility (bus, S-Bahn and U-Bahn). Due to reductions in museums, the card for three days cost as much as a day ticket in real terms. So a win for discovering the city.
The offer of the pass for all exhibitions and museums (we looked at six different ones with our son) as well as the bus tour and public transport were very pleasant. Skipped the long queue at the Deutsches Museum with the pass..;-)
Great offer
We bougth the City Pass beforehand so we could use it even on our way from airport to city center. We could hop on every public transport we wanted.
The city center has great churches and quaint beer pubs that we got in without a ticket, but also several great palaces and museums that we got in with a pass. Don't forget to visit the Residence and Nymphenbourg Palace. There are amazing views from the Olympic Park tower and Sealife is right at the foot of the tower. It takes just few minutes from city center to the Olympic parkk with U-bahnhof.
Munich is a amacing place to visit.
Transportation, Free Souvenirs and Discounts were very profitable. We used our voucher in most of the museums, must-see places and famous cafes & restaurants.
It allows you to enter many places without waiting in long lines, apart from unlimited use of transport, it is worth it
