According to legends, the Chiesa di Santa Maria Formosa was founded by the bishop of Oderzo who had seen Saint Maria Formosa in a dream. For this reason, the church received its name, Maria. The church was built in 1492 and currently has two different styles of facades. From the outside, one can see Classical and Baroque architecture, as well as some busts and weapons of the Capello family. When visiting, you shouldn’t miss seeing the polyptych of St. Barbara by Jacopo Palma il Vecchio which is located inside.
