The permanent exhibition documents German settlement in the lands of Bohemia, Moravia and Sudeten Silesia. It spans a broad historical arc from the internal development of these areas to the nationality conflicts of modern times. The wealth of traditions, customs and forms of expression of the Sudeten Germans is made aware, as are the themes of flight and expulsion.
The Sudeten German Museum opened in October 2020 and houses, among other things, the longest motorbike in the world from the Böhmerland brand. A modern concept with interactive media stations and a multimedia guide in four languages guides visitors through the exhibition.
A wide range of events, such as museum education, special exhibitions, etc., round off the museum's offerings.

The history of the Sudeten Germans is reflected in the museum's permanent exhibition. Visitors pass through five levels here. Homeland and Faith - deals with the diverse homeland landscapes and traditions of the Sudeten Germans. Economy and Culture - shows the range of Sudeten German economic production from the Bohemian motorbike to Thonet furniture to Pilsen beer Nationalism and the Nation-State - deals with the "living apart" of two peoples, the growing nationalism on both sides and the "Anschluss" to the German Reich. Loss and Expulsion - conveys the mass expulsions of the Sudeten Germans in the aftermath of the Second World War Post-war period and new beginning - describes the building of a new existence, a culture of remembrance and rapprochement between Czechs and Germans.
